“Can you give us a marketing department without the headcount?”

A small team carrying a large mission

Get the output of a marketing function without adding salaries. A team small enough to fit around one table, running a member programme, a leadership institute, an awards programme, and a full events calendar.

The problem

The organisation had outgrown its brand and its infrastructure at the same time. Programme delivery was reactive — chasing details from stakeholders weeks before each event rather than working from a plan.

Strong campaign work existed for every individual programme. What did not exist was anything above them at the year level: no plan of record, no standing scorecard, no decision log.

What was done

  1. 01

    Rebrand and rebuild

A full rebrand and a new website, with the visual system carried through every programme rather than reinvented per event.

  2. 02

    Systematise the calendar

Moved programme and content planning onto a single operating base so events, content, and membership campaigns are planned in one place instead of six.

  3. 03

    Build the reporting layer

Live dashboards and interactive previews in place of the monthly PDF — the thing buyers now expect and most consultancies still do not ship.

  4. 04

    Run the cadence

A fixed meeting rhythm: weekly against the plan, monthly on the scorecard, quarterly to replan and rebudget.

Stated plainly. Growth over this period is not attributable to marketing alone — a rebrand, a new site, programme changes, and a strong events year all moved together. Reported as correlated, not caused.
